God's Manna for Our Lives
This morning I read about God sending the manna to feed the 2 million Israelites in their wilderness wanderings. It is amazing to think of feeding 2 million people in a desert by any means, but for God to give them wafers with honey was fantastic. He also supplied them with water from a Rock, and that Rock was Christ. It is a glorious picture of God's provision for His children, isn't it?
Have you experienced God's manna for your life? Have you seen that for most of us He gives us just enough for our needs. If we try to store up too much, He takes it away. If we will trust Him, He can multiply it to make enough for two days or more. God is so good in His care over us.
Many people don't know how they are going to make it in this economic crisis. There are all kinds of theories about what should be done by the government and by the people. However, there is only one sure fire path to follow. We must determine to trust the Lord's provision for us in every area. We must follow Him faithfully, no matter where He leads. He always provides for His own when He leads them, even in the deserts of life.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 19-20 and Matthew 18:21-35.
