The Promise of His Coming - Ezekiel 40-41 and II Peter 3
Many people believe that the Temple Ezekiel was shown is the Temple that will be built at the end of time in conjunction with the second coming of Christ. We do not know that for sure, but we are certain that Christ is coming again. We do not know the exact time, but we are told the signs of His coming and some of the things that will happen. Peter tells us that there will be many scoffers in the last days before the coming of Christ. I am sure that is already the case. People are scoffing at Christ, at the Bible, and even at the thought of religion. They doubt that Christ is coming, but God tells us why He has not come yet. God wants as many to be saved as possible. God does not force people to accept Christ, but He knows who will accept Him. Therefore, as the times get worse and worse, the hearts of people will get harder and harder to the Lord. Finally, the last person will accept Christ and then, He will come as a thief in the night. There will be a new heaven and a new earth, in which righteousness will dwell. We do not understand all of these things, but we are to be looking forward to His coming. In the meantime, we are to be spreading the Gospel to every people group, so that they can accept Christ. What are you doing to hasten the coming of Christ? Are you looking forward to it, or not? He promised us that He is coming, so we must be ready. It could happen at any time.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 42-44 and I John 1.
