Every Christian's Life

All Christians have real life. We are alive in Christ. We do not simply exist in this world having just physical life. We have a real and personal relationship with Jesus because He saved us and changed us, so that we can and do have fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a whole new life, not just a change in philosophy or attitude. We become new people.

The Bible explains this in one powerful verse. (Galatians 2:20) When we are saved, we are crucified with Christ. The old person dies, so it is no longer us who live, but Christ lives in us. Now, the life we live while being in the flesh, we live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us. That was Paul's testimony, but it is the testimony of every Christian. This is something we all need to understand.

Christ died for us. He gave His blood and His life, so we could have our sins forgiven. Romans 6:6 tells us that our self was crucified with Christ, so that the body of sin might be done away with, and we should no longer be slaves to sin. We are a new creation in Christ. (II Corinthians 5:17) Now Christ lives in us in the Person of the Holy Spirit, and we are set free to live a life that is pleasing to God, as we live by trusting Jesus alone.

Therefore, we live each day by faith in Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior, the One who loved us and gave Himself for us. We owe Him our life, and we should depend on Him to guide us and empower us, so we can live in His will, not in sin. See what I mean? The Christian life is a brand new life that lasts forever, because Christ is our life. He is not just part of our life. He is our life. Let's live for Him every day.
