Corrected by the Lord
Most of us don't like to be corrected. We take the correction personally. We think that the one who is doing the correction doesn't like us or doesn't think we are a very good person. That is not usually the case, but it is what our flesh tells us, so we have a negative view of being corrected. We need to change that way of thinking. We need to convince ourselves that correction is good, especially when it is God who is correcting us.
The truth is that God corrects those He loves. (Proverbs 3:12) He is like a father who corrects the son in whom he delights. When we see correction from this angle, we can see how it is good, and why we should accept it completely with a good attitude. I pray we will all be able to make this change, if it is needed in our lives. It will make our lives much better.
God corrects us because He loves us. He wants what is best for us. He knows that is we continue in making sinful mistakes, we will cause ourselves all kinds of problems. He knows that when we live in righteousness, our lives are so much better. Therefore, He is quick to correct us in love. He tells us to stop doing the wrong things and to do the right things instead. The choice is up to us. He will not force us to listen.
Just think of God as our loving Father. Realize, we are His children, and He delights in us. He wants to be able to bless us and to show others our holy lifestyle. If we follow His direction and accept His correction that is what will happen. Our lives will be so much better, and others will see that God delights in us, when they see our many blessings.
