The Lord does not Change

 People are so fickle. They tend to change their attitudes from one day to the next. They change their values from one year to the next. We can never tell for sure how another person is going to react to what happens in their life or in our world. It makes it very difficult to deal with a lot of people. However, the Lord is not that way.

God told Malachi His personal testimony. (Malachi 3:6) He said that He does not change. That is why the sons of Jacob have not come to an end. God's character doesn't change. His viewpoint on life doesn't change. God is constant and steady. We can count on the Lord to be the same from day to day and from decade to decade. 

God does things based on His character. He is not swayed by what others think. He doesn't change based on the new fade that is going around. God established right and wrong, good and bad, based on His eternal nature, and they will never change. That is why we know we have a future and a hope once we know Jesus as Lord and Savior. 

The key here is that we are to become like God. As Christians, we are to have a constant character that is informed by the Word of God and led by the Spirit of God to do what Jesus would do in every instance of life. Then, we will not change, either. People will know that once we have spoken or acted, they can count on us to be faithful and steadfast in doing what is right in the right attitude.
