Weighed with Accurate Scales

One day every one of us will face the judgment of God. Those who know the Lord by trusting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will approach the Mercy Seat of Christ for judgment of all they have done in life. Those who have rejected Jesus as Lord and Savior will go before Him at the Great White throne for their judgment. Either way, it is not a judgment for our sins, because once we die our sins are either forgiven or they are not. The judgment time is to give an account for all we have done in life. God will inspect our fruit to see if we did His will and bore good fruit for Him. Job longed for that day. (Job 31:4-6) He knew that God saw all his ways and numbered all his steps. He was willing to admit it if God saw that he had walked with falsehood or hastened after deceit. He wanted God to weigh him in His accurate scales of justice. That way God would know his integrity. I wonder if we are ready for that time like Job was?

Life is not easy, but God is always fair. We can't blame God for any of our sins. We can't say that He has judged us too harshly. He always does the right thing. His justice is totally righteous. His scales are totally accurate in weighing all we have done against His righteousness. When we fall short, we will have to answer to Him. Believe me, He has given us every advantage to do His will. When He saves us, He changes us and gives us a new heart. We have a new will. We want to do well, and we have the ability to do it. He gives us the Spirit to guide us and empower us to do His will in His way. We have His Word as our Light to show us the way, too. There will be no excuses when we stand before God, just very accurate scales. I pray we will all be ready for that day. It is coming sooner than we think.
