The Woman who Lives in the Fear-of-God

We have a lot of young men who are looking for the prettiest young lady they can find. Their flesh desires such a lady, and they may even be lusting after them, too. They are thinking with their hormones, and they believe such a wife would make them very happy. That is only true, if there is another ingredient. A truly admirable woman is one who lives in the Fear-of-God. (Proverbs 31:29,30) If a young man really wants a great marriage that must come first and beauty second. Let's hear what the Lord has to say about this, so none of us will make a terrible mistake that leads to much anguish.

The truth is that many women excel at all kinds of things. Some win beauty contests. Others graduate at the top of their class in college. Still others work very hard and have the ability to run a company. There are many who excel at being a wife and mother. They are experts at making a house a home. That is the type of lady described in Proverbs 31. The reason she is able to do this so well is that she walks in the Fear-of-God daily. God is her Guide and the Source of her wisdom. She fears Him so that she respects Him enough to seek Him and follow all of His leadership. A lady like this is to be admired the most, because even when her beauty fades, her heart will get more and more beautiful. Please, don't get fooled into thinking otherwise.
