Walking Steadily on God's Course

Life is not supposed to be lived by trial and error. God knows that is too painful for us. He gave us His Word that reveals His course for our lives, so we can stay on course, walking steadily on the road He revealed for us. However, sometimes we do wander off that course, like a lost sheep. In those instances, we need for the Lord to seek us. When He does, we will be able to recognize His voice and get back on course. (Psalm 119:1,176) That gives us a good summary of Psalm 119, and we need to make sure we live by this truth, or our lives will be filled with pain and destruction.

God would not be a Good Father, if He did not give His children a road to follow in life. That is what God does. He loves His children, so He teaches us the right way to go, and He warns us about the wrong way. Then, God blesses us for staying on course. He loves to see His children walking steadily by what He has revealed to us. Therefore, we must know God's Word and stay filled with the Holy Spirit to discern the revelation of God about what to believe and how to live. If we go by what others say and do, we will get off course, and miss those blessings. That happens to all of us at one time of another. However, if our hearts are right with the Lord and we are sensitive to Him, we will desire for God to seek us and correct us. We will recognize the voice of our Shepherd, and we will follow His way, not ours. I pray we all know Christ, and we are walking steadily on His course for us. If you are off track now, please stop and cry out to Him. Then, listen for His voice and follow Him back to the way of blessing.
