God's Justice is Perfect

Haman, King Xerxes' top aide, made plans to kill all of the Jews and to hang Mordecai. He had the gallows all completed, and he was going to ask the king's permission in the morning. However, the king wanted to honor Mordecai for saving him from a murder plot, so he sent Haman out to lead Mordecai through the streets of Susa in honor. Then, when they got back, the king and Haman ate with Esther. She told the king of Haman's plan, and the king was furious. He hung Haman on the gallows he built for Mordecai and gave Haman's land to Esther. Mordecai was given the authority of Haman by having the signet ring of the king, and then, Esther appointed him over the estate of Haman. (Esther 8:1,2) This shows the justice of God to perfectly punish those who would hurt others and harm the Jewish people. We need to rely on God's justice each and every day.

God is good, all the time. However, sometimes we have to wait to see His justice work out. I know there is a lot of injustice in the world today, and it is all very wrong. It is a product of living in a terribly sinful world. We need to work for justice for all people, and depend on the Lord to do His perfect justice to even up the scales. That is what Mordecai and Esther were doing when God turned the tables on Haman and blessed Mordecai and all of the Jews by delivering them from death. God always protects the underdog, and He always protects Israel, as well as the Jewish people. These things are a result of God's holiness and righteousness. Also, He always keeps His covenant to protect the descendants of Abraham. (Genesis 12:1-3) We must not take justice into our own hands, because we do not have a perfect understanding of everything like God. However, we must pray and work to bring about God's justice by working in our communities, our states, and our country.
