Prepare to Meet Your God
One of these days we are all going to die or be raptured from this world by the Lord Jesus. Either way, we will find out what will happen to us for eternity. Some people believe we will simply die and cease to exist. Others believer that everyone will go to heaven. However, God's Word makes it plain that we will spend eternity in either heaven or the Lake of Fire based on what we did with Jesus. Part of passing into our eternal destiny will be standing before God in a time of judgment. At that time, we will meet our God face to face. When God sent Amos to warn Israel about all of His punishment for their sins, He told them to prepare to meet their God. (Amos 4:12) I believe that is excellent advice for all of us, considering the fragile nature of our existence here on earth.
Who is your God? Some people claim there is no God, so they are not afraid of standing before anyone after death. However, what if you are wrong? Just look around at all of the world around you. Is there really any chance it just all sprang up from nothing? That is beyond credibility. The only way an ordered creation could exist is that it was created by an intelligent designer. The Bible has verifiable truth presented to us from God, Himself, in the form of prophecies and archaeologically verified accounts of history. When you consider the facts of the Bible, it is clear that we will all meet God one day. The only way to prepare to meet Him is to love Him with all of our being and to trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. That is what I would encourage us all to do before it is eternally too late.
