Seeking God

God does not bless half-hearted seekers. He is found by those who seek Him with all of their heart and all of their soul. Judah found that out when Asa was king, and he led them to make a covenant to seek God fully. They not only found Him, they had rest all around.(II Chronicles 15:12,15) What a blessing!

I know God comes to us first to reveal Himself to us, but then, we have to respond to Him. How we respond makes all the difference in whether we are successful in our seeking. God does not reward us when we do not seriously seek Him, because that would give us the impression that He is satisfied with partial commitment to Him. When we seek Him with all our heart and all our soul, we are ready to trust Him with all our heart and soul once find Him. Then, He gives us rest, because we find all we need in Him. He gives us internal rest, and often, He calms the storms around us, because we have His power for all we need.

I urge all of us to make a covenant with God to seek Him fully and see what He does in response.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Chronicles 16-18.
