Battling Your Enemies

As believers, we should never be afraid of our enemies, because we should know that the Lord is with us.(Deuteronomy 20:11) However, sometimes we do experience fear when we have conflicts with our enemy, the devil, or other enemies, so we need to consider this verse.

When we see the power of our enemies, we need to immediately remember the power of God. God's power is much greater than the power of any enemy, so we should not fear what they can do to us. We must focus on the Lord and stay close to Him for His provision and protection. He is faithful, and He will help us.

Our enemies do not have the Lord with them. He is with us. That is a huge advantage for us. They may have great power, but we have a Great Friend to accompany us into the battle. We hold His hand, and He fights for us.

Also, we must remember all the battles He has won for us in the past. Just like God led Israel out of Egypt, He has led us through many bad circumstances and battles. We must not forget the past, when we face a struggle now. God will be with us now, as He has been with us in the past.

Don't let fear rule your life. God has not given us the spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1:7) I have read the Book, and we win, if we are on God's side. Let's stick with Him and not be afraid.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 23-25.
