The Entirety of God's Word is Truth

Many people today have bought the philosophy of relativism, so that they believe truth is relative to a particular time, place, and situation. That is a false philosophy that is contrary to belief in God and His Word. God assures us over and over again that all of His Word is truth, and it is eternal truth.(Psalm 119:160)  In fact, the Word of God is absolute truth for all people for all times and situations, so that we should trust it and live by it. I love what Adrian Rogers used to say, "It is either absolute, or it is obsolete."

Years ago my daughter, Lori, had to correct her high school teacher in a Christian school. He told the class that the Bible "contains" the truth. Lori quickly raised her hand and showed him that the Bible does not only contain the truth, but it is the truth. If it only contains truth, then it contains error, too. Why would the God, who is Truth, inspire error? He inspired the whole Bible, and none of it has errors.(II Timothy 3:16,17)

I don't have time or space to give a complete explanation of how we know the Bible is God's Word and how we know it is all true this morning. However, I can say with confidence that archaeology has shown the facts to be correct, all of the prophecies have come true 100%, and there is a huge amount of evidence that the 10 Commandments and all of God's truth is reliable as people practice His Word. Examine it for yourself. You will find that the Bible is God's truth written down for us, so that we would have a living Word to guide us in every decision. It is a great blessing once we are assured of this, and we live by His Word and live in His blessings.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 120-124.
