Watch!
"Watch." That is Jesus' admonition for all of us today and every day we live.(Mark 13:35-37) Something is going to happen, and we must not be caught unprepared. Therefore, we must be watching for it all of the time. We must be staying prepared.
The Master of the house is returning one day. Jesus is coming back to earth. We do not know when. However, when He comes, He will gather those who belong to Him and take them with Him to Heaven for a while. Those who are left behind will live in the worst times the earth has ever seen. He called it the time of tribulation, and He told us that if the days are not shortened by the Lord because of His mercy, every living soul would die. Believe me, you do not want to be here for the Tribulation.
The only way to be prepared is to surrender to Jesus as your Master and Lord by putting your trust in Him once and for all to forgive your sins and lead your life. He really is the Only Way to heaven. Then, live for Him each day, watching for Him to return. When He comes, we do not want to be found sleeping, not doing His will, because the judgment time follows. We want to be found faithful, even though life is hard.
Are you ready and watching? If you aren't ready, you won't be watching. You will think this is just a fairy tale. You will be caught unaware of what is going on, and you will suffer the consequences. If you are prepared, you might still be caught unaware, if you are not watching each day and living as if today was the day for Jesus to return. Watch, therefore!
