All is Well

Often, when I write to people, I tell them that I pray all is well with them. That is my way of saying that I hope they are experiencing God's blessings, so that they are not stressed and upset about the conditions of their lives.  I believe that is always God's will for all of us, even when we are going through the trials of life. He is always with us, as we trust Him, so we always have what we need.

Solomon was experiencing that state in his life as he became king. He was preparing to build the Temple, so he contacted King Hiram of Tyre to supply the cypress wood, which was the best quality wood for the job.(I Kings 5:4) He told Hiram that the Lord had given him peace on every side, he had no enemies, and all was well with him. I pray that all of us would be able to give this testimony to everyone we meet and give God all the glory.

God wants all of us to live in constant peace. Peace is the state of mind and heart where we know that God is taking care of us and the details of our life. It is not the absence of pain and trouble, but it is a heart of peace throughout the trials that only God can give. Jesus told His disciples that He was giving them His peace that was not like the world's peace. I pray we are all living in His peace.

Also, I believe God wants us not to have any enemies. I know there is always the possibility for us to have people who come against us for various reasons. However, we, as Christians, should live in a way that we do everything we can to be reconciled to everyone in our lives. They may of may not accept our advances, but we can live in peace with them, knowing we have done all we can do to make things right. These things bring peace and harmony into our lives, so all can be well with us.
