The Son of God
Most people are very confused about the identity of Jesus. They have heard all kinds of things about Him, but they don't read the Bible, and they have not researched His identity to see the historical evidence about Him. That is a terrible situation for all of these people because they can't surrender to Him and be saved until they really know who He is. Please, don't leave this world without making sure you know exactly who Jesus is and trusting Him as your Lord and Savior.
There are several places in the Bible where Jesus told the people His identity very plainly. One of those places is when He was questioned by the Jewish leaders after His arrest and before His crucifixion. (Luke 22:70) They asked Him, "Are You then the Son of God?" So Jesus said, "You rightly say that I am." This statement was so clear to them that they needed no other evidence to condemn Him. They thought this was blasphemy, but it was the truth.
The title "Son of God" doesn't mean that Jesus was a created being, and it doesn't mean that He was less than God, the Father. It is a clear statement that Jesus was identifying as God, just like the title "Son of Man" showed that Jesus was identifying as man. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man, except that He never sinned. He is eternal, and He is equal with the Father and the Spirit. By calling Himself the Son of God He was declaring that He came to show us the Father.
This means that Jesus is Lord of all. When we know that Jesus is the Son of God, Lord of all, we have to make the decision to turn from our ways and our sins, and surrender to Him in faith to have our sins forgiven. He came as Lord to give His precious blood for us, as the only price that could be paid for our sins to be forgiven. So we ask Him, and we trust Him to forgive our sins, and then we live for Him forever. See how important it is to know the true identity of Jesus?
