Jesus' Second Coming

 Jesus came to this earth the first time as a Suffering Servant, coming to die for our sins and rise again. He did this to carry out the plan of salvation prepared by God before the foundation of the earth. He will come again as a Conquering King. He will return in power to defend Jerusalem and to reign on earth for 1,000 years. This is also part of God's perfect plan for this world, too. When Christ comes it will truly be a Triumphal Entry on this second coming. Zechariah described it for us in his prophecy. (Zechariah 14:4) Jesus' foot will touch down on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. This is the place from which He ascended back to heaven 40 days after His resurrection. This time the Mount of Olives will split in half from east to west. Half of the mountain will move north and half will move south. Jesus will make His presence known in a glorious way!

We can see all of the events coming together which point to the second coming of Christ now. The Rapture of the church could happen any time now. Then, there will be 7 years of the Great Tribulation which will lead up to Jesus stepping down on the Mount of Olives. He will put an end to the battle of Armageddon, too, before it ever has a chance to start. Just imagine all of this happening, and all of us, as believers, will be right there with Him to see the whole thing. (Zechariah 14:5) He will bring us to reign with Him in the Millennial Kingdom. However, the saddest thing about all of this is the destiny of all who do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior. At the end of the 1,000 years Christ will bring all who never believed in Him to the Great White Throne Judgment. He will pronounce their fate for never trusting Him, which will be eternity in Hell, separated from God forever. Please, don't let that happen to you. Trust Him today.
