Finding Wisdom and Insight
It seems that all people know there is right and wrong, but many disagree on their definitions. Also, people realize there is a better way or a best way, the wise way, to do something, but again, they disagree on what wisdom entails and how to find it. The same is true for having insight into the details of life. People seem confused over how to have insight and live life well. Job knew the answer to both, and he lived in 2000 BC, way before Solomon told us much the same thing. The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and insight is shunning evil. (Job 28:28) It is really fairly simple, but we need to make sure we understand, so we can receive wisdom and insight for our lives.
When we have the fear of the Lord, we respect His holiness and power so much that we are even afraid of making Him mad. We are in awe of God, and we want to worship Him in all we do, giving Him the glory for everything. When we act in those ways, we will receive wisdom from Him, because we will reverently rely on Him to show us everything. Also, we will do things His way, because we obey Him completely. When we are shunning evil, we know what is wrong, because we take God at His Word. We obey His commands and follow His directions. This leads us to the correct insights about everything in our lives. Whenever we go toward evil in thought, word, or deed, we are going the wrong way, and we are missing the insight He gives us. Therefore, if we seek wisdom only from God and we turn away from every evil thing, we will build up more and more wisdom and insight, because He will guide us to it every time.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 31-34
