Dying in Disobedience to God
We are all going to die sometime, unless Jesus comes back to rapture His own out of this world before our time to die comes. Either way, we will stand before the Lord and give Him an account of our life. We will have to explain why we didn't do His will, but we did our own will, instead. It has the potential to be a very glorious day or a very sad day based on our obedience to the Lord. King Saul learned this lesson. He died in disobedience to God. He didn't obey God's words, and he even went against God's words by visiting a witch to get guidance, instead of just going to God. (I Chronicles 10:13) I pray that we will learn from Saul's mistakes, so we will not suffer a similar fate.
God has made His Word very clear for us. Now, we have all types of good translations of the Bible, so we can easily understand the clear meaning. There are so many Bible resources that are free on the Internet for us to use to expand our knowledge of God's Word. We have good Bible teaching churches all around us for people who may not have a Bible or access to the Internet. Therefore, there is no excuse for anyone in America not to know God's Word if they are open and seeking God's will and His way. However, some people disobey God's words like King Saul did when he took the sacrifices into his own hands, not waiting on Samuel, and when he allowed the people to take the spoils of the battle when God had said not to do that. Consequently, he tried to pray to God for guidance, but God did not answer him, so he went to a witch. He did just the opposite of God's will. If He would have repented of his sins, God would have answered his prayers, but he never did that. I pray if you are not hearing from God, please be honest about your sins before God. Confess them and turn away from doing them. Then, pray and read God's Word. He will show you what to do. Start now, so you will not die in disobedience to God, but you will be able to stand before Jesus knowing you are right with Him.
