The Multiplication Principle

Jesus came to earth to save the people of the world from their sins. He died on the cross to pay the sin debt and to die in our place. Then, He chose 12 disciples, so that the message of the Good News would be spread to the whole earth. He lived with them, taught them, and then, He sent them out, just as the Father sent Him. Therefore, they shared the Good News, and when people trusted Christ as Lord, they taught them and sent them out, equipped as disciples of Jesus, too. This is the process of making disciples to see the world come to Christ, using the principle of multiplication. Paul did the same process, and he taught Timothy and His disciples to do it, too. (II Timothy 2:2) Now, we should be using the method as Jesus.

People learn from having relationships with other people. Children learn from their parents. They learn as much by what they see as by what they hear. Then, the child grows to be able to do what it takes to be a parent, too, if the parents do a good job of discipling them. God is our heavenly Father, and we are His children, once we trust Christ. He wants every children to learn and grow from more mature believers, so we can teach others, also. In this way, we obey the command that Jesus gave His original disciples. His way is always best, and if we obey Him as we should, we will make the multiplication principle a priority in our lives for His glory and the building up of His kingdom.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Timothy 4 and Titus 1-2.
