The Separation Caused by Our Sins
God can save anyone, and He is fully able to hear every prayer that is prayed on this earth. However, the problem lies with us, when we do not have our sins forgiven or our prayers go unheard. The problem is our sins. (Isaiah 59:1,2) They separate us from God and cause Him to turn His face from us, so He does not hear our prayers. This is a very serious condition for us, but it is fully able to be corrected.
All of us sin, but we have the ability to repent or turn from our sins. Then, we put our trust in Christ, as Lord of our lives, asking Him to forgive our sins. He will readily do that if we sincerely repent, believe, and surrender to Him. Then, we are united with God, and He is very attentive to our prayers. However, even after our sins are forgiven we need to continue to confess our sins to Him, because they still cause a separation. God can't look on our sins, and He won't stay close to us, if we sin without repentance and confession. Therefore, we must confess our sins when we are convicted by the Spirit, knowing that once we do, our fellowship with God is restored and our prayers get through to Him loud and clear.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 60-62.
