He knows My Name
God answered Moses' prayer, because he had found grace in God's sight, and God knew him by name. (Exodus 33:17) What a testimony! Does God know you by name? There is nothing more fantastic that can be said about anyone in this world, than that the Creator of the universe knows you by name.
Now, I know that God knows everyone's name. He knows everything. This phrase means much more than knowing a name. It means that Moses had a personal relationship with God. God knew His name. He knew Moses, and Moses knew Him. There are a lot of people who belong to a church of some kind or they have prayed a prayer, but there is no personal relationship with God. Without that relationship there is no true connection; there is no salvation.
God answered Moses' prayer because He knew Moses had sincere trust in Him. That trust caused Moses to find grace in God's sight. He saved Moses and extended grace to him for his everyday life. The same can be true for all of us, if we trust Christ, we can find grace, and God will know us by name. Then, we walk with Him and talk with Him all the way to eternity in heaven with Him and all of the others He knows by name.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 34-36.
