God Will Set His Glory Among The Nations

I believe we are living in the last days, because of what the Bible says about those times. It seems that God is drawing things to His conclusion for this world, which is the Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Christ. We may not all agree on the details of what will happen, and no one knows when it will all happen, but we can see that God is going to take advantage of a war against Israel to "set His glory among the nations."(Ezekiel 39:21,22) That means that all people groups will see His awesome power when He judges the armies of Russia, Iran, and northern Africa which come against Israel to plunder them. The slaughter will be so great that it will take seven months for Israel to bury the dead, and seven years for them to burn the fuel from all of the captured weapons. This single event will turn the  hearts of the Jewish people back to the Lord, so that from that day forward they will know He is the Lord their God.

This explains how the Jewish people, who are now mostly secular people and only cultural Jews, will turn fully to the Lord. I believe when the Rapture happens they will fully turn to the Lord Jesus Christ as well.(Romans 11:25-27) It may be an explanation for how all people groups will come to hear the Gospel before the Second Coming, too.(Matthew 24:14) We live in an exciting time in which we should be doing all we can do to share the Gospel with every people group. We should not fear the war that will come against Israel, but we should be ready to be His witnesses when people see the glory of God in such a miraculous way. To be sure, most people will still reject the Lord, even though He sets His glory among all nations, and we may be killed for our witness, but we are called to be faithful, not comfortable.

Let's do just what Jesus told us to do. Let's be ready for His coming. Let's watch and pray. Let's be His witnesses to all of the nations, when He sets His glory among the nations and the people of Israel know He is the Lord their God.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 41-43.
