God's Continual Guidance and Satisfaction
When we know the Lord and follow Him closely, He guides us continually and satisfies us.(Isaiah 58:11) This is a profound truth, because some people are constantly praying for God to bless them. That prayer is not necessary, if we are walking in obedience to the Lord. He promises to "continually guide" us and to "satisfy" our soul in drought, and "strengthen" our bones. That shows me that God spiritually leads us, while blessing our soul and body. However, the end of the verse is amazing. We will be like a "watered garden" and like a "spring of water whose waters do not fail." His nourishment and blessings are constant and continuous.
Some might question this verse, because they have not experienced this in their Christian lives. Please, do not judge the Bible by your experience. Judge your experience by the Bible, instead, because the Bible is God's inerrant Word. It does not contain errors or leads us the wrong way, when we understand it correctly. The lack of continually blessings in a Christian's life is some failure on their part to walk with the Lord in a daily fashion, trusting Him for all they need. He never wants us to run dry, but we get dry if we stray from Him. We must not blame our lack of blessing on the Lord. He wants to bless each of His children, but He can't bless the rebellious ones who are not walking closely, or He would be encouraging their sin.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 59-62.
