There is Forgiveness with God
God is holy, so He hates sin, but He is willing to forgive us when we come to Him in repentance and faith. This leads us to fear the Lord in a very healthy way.(Psalm 130:3,4) This is true because He is the only One who can forgive sins. If He decides to remember our iniquities , our sins, then, we have no hope of forgiveness. However, when He forgives, He chooses to forget our sins and to put them away. What a Loving God He is!
If we could do something to forgive our own sins, we would not need to fear God. It would be up to us, and we could retain much pride for saving ourselves. However, salvation comes from the Lord alone. If He does not choose to forgive, we are separated from Him forever because of our sins. All He wants to see is that we turn from our sins once and and for all to trust Him as Lord of all and Lord of our life. Then, He graciously forgives our iniquities, no matter how serious they might be.
I pray that we all will know God's forgiveness and favor on our lives today by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and became a man to die for our sins, to pay the penalty of death for us, that we can be forgiven, and God can remain holy in His decision to forgive us. He is the Only Way, the Only Truth, and the Only Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him.(John 14:6) However, whosoever will may come to Him and receive the gift of forgiveness and salvation because of His sacrifice for us.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 133-135.
