Walking In His Light
We live in a world that is dark because sin blocks the light of truth. However, for those who know Jesus, the Light, we can walk in His light through this dark world. We can see His will and His way. It takes staying close to Him in a daily walk that includes prayer and following His Word in the power of His Spirit, who illuminates His Word, but anyone can do it.
The question is not, "Can we walk in the Light?, but will we walk in the Light?" It takes time, effort, and reliance upon Him, instead of relying upon ourselves. We must be willing to pay the price, to be different, and to stay focused on Him. It is not easy, but it is worth it.
One day each of us will stand before the Lord, and He will show us how He shined His Light into our lives, encouraging us to walk in His Light. We will have to give an account of why we did or did not walk in that light. That is true for people in America, Africa, Asia, and the whole world. I pray that we will decide to walk in His Light, instead of stumbling through the darkness. I pray that we will point many people to Jesus, the Light, too. Then, we will be able to stand before the Lord in peace, not dread.
Today, I read Isaiah 48-50.
