Family Matters
We have spent the last month or so working on Dixie and Stacy's wedding and getting their house fixed up. It has been tiring, but it has been well worth every minute, because our family matters.
Lori, Jeff, Kade, and Avenly made the long trip from Japan for Dixie's wedding. They spent time with Jeff's parents in Texas. Now, they are preparing for a long trip home. It has meant a lot of time and effort for them, but family matters.
John and Gao Foua came down for the wedding, too. They had to get back for work. Then, they took a long trip the next weekend, as well. They sacrificed because family matters.
Chris and I enjoyed having everyone here today, except John and Gao Foua. We went out to eat, and now, we are preparing to take them to the airport early in the morning. We will only have the Loomis family for 24 hours this time, so we packed in a trip to the playground and an animal walk. We just spent time enjoying each other, because family matters.
Our family is growing. It is great to see how God is working. God created family. He meant for us to love and support each other. When we do, we share in His plan. When we do family God's way, it works well. We love each other. We help each other. We sacrifice for each other. We support each other. It enhances the life of each family member as God designed. That is why family matters.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 25-28.
