The Goodness of God
We had a good day of worship and fellowship with our church family today. I did kind of feel like everyone was moving in slow motion, though. I think the Christmas activities have sapped our strength. However, it was good to worship the King today. God is so good. There are so many things for which to worship Him.
Travis and Diane had Dylan at church this morning. He is one of the little twins for whom we have prayed. He was so small, but so beautiful. He is such a tribute to the goodness of God.
Walter was there after being in the hospital with heart problems this week. It was so good to see him and to hear his testimony about God answering prayer. I believe God is working on his heart in other ways, too.
Then, there were others who were still having troubles. How can that be if God is so good? It is easy for me to understand. He sees the whole picture of our lives from the beginning to the end and all of the circumstances in between. Therefore, Our Good God does what is best for each person from His perspective, not from ours. We can trust Him, because He is so completely good. That makes all of life an opportunity to trust His wisdom and love. He wants us to put our faith in Him, so let's do it.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Micah 4-5 and Revelation 12.
