Our Redeemer Lives!
There are many different religions in the world. Most of them worship some type of idols or something in nature. There are others who worship someone who has died, whom they believe to be a prophet. However, Christianity is the only religion that worships a Redeemer who is alive and well. Both facts are vital. We need a living Savior, and we need a Redeemer because everyone in the world has sinned, and we can't do anything to forgive our own sins.
Another one of the amazing things about Job is the fact that God had shown him that he had a Living Redeemer. Job announced that to his friends and to us. (Job 19:25) "But as for me, I know my Redeemer lives, and He will stand upon the earth at last." That is extra amazing because Job could be the oldest book in the Old Testament to be written down. This truth was revealed to Job and written some 2,000 years before Christ came to stand on this earth. Knowing this gave Job great hope in his situation.
The Lord wants all of us to have the ultimate hope which is to know that we have eternal life, and we will spend eternity in heaven with the Lord, serving and worshiping Him. We must believe, like Job, that Jesus is alive, that He not only died for our sins, but He rose again the third day to confirm that the Father accepted His sacrifice of His blood. His perfect blood was the only payment that could pay for our sins and buy us back from the grip of Satan.
To have this hope we also need to put our faith in the fact that Jesus is God who became a man. He was the God/ Man, not just a prophet. He took on human flesh, so He would have that perfect blood to shed for us, since He never sinned Himself. Therefore, His blood and His death could be the only things that could make us right with God again. What a Savior! So today, do you know that Our Redeemer lives and that He will stand upon the earth at last? Have you trusted Him as your personal Lord and Savior so you are ready for Him to come back to earth again? If not, please, do it today.
