The Path to Success

Most people are striving for success in their lives. I am afraid a lot of them are trying to do it the wrong way. In fact, most do not even know the definition of true success. Therefore, when they are fortunate enough to reach their goals, they find their so called "success" to be very hollow and unfulfilling. God's way to true success is very different, but it is very effective. (Joshua 1:8) God made the path to success very plain to Joshua when he took over for Moses to lead God's people to the Promised Land. We all need to hear and apply this very important principle. Then, we will be successful in God's way and in His eyes, which is true success.

God told Joshua not to let the book of the Law, which was God's Word to Israel, depart from his mouth. He was told to meditate on it day and night, so it became a part of all his thoughts and his words. Then, Joshua would know the Word of God so he could be careful to do according to all that was written in it. When we know God's Law and keep His Word in our daily lives, God will lead us, and He can make our way prosperous and give us success. Does that mean vast wealth and only happiness? No, but it does mean a life that honors God and treats others well, so that God smiles on us with His peace and satisfaction. Also, we are ready to stand before Him and enter eternity in Heaven with a "Well Done, good and faithful servant." Nothing could be better than that.
