The Lord is with You

For those of us who know the Lord Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, we can have the assurance that the Lord is always with us. If we are walking in His will and doing what He commands, then, we know He is with us to give us good success in what we do. God made this very clear to Moses, and He commanded Moses to assure the people of this truth. (Deuteronomy 20:1) When they went out to battle, and they saw horses, chariots, and people more numerous than them, there was no reason to be afraid. They were to remember how God brought them out of Egypt, and to know that He was still with them. What a comfort for Israel and for us, as believers, today.

We all have battles in life. We all face enemies that seem to be overwhelming at times. The temptation is to put our focus on the enemies, and lose focus on God. If we do that, we will end up being afraid. That fear will paralyze us. In fact, we can know that it is a sinful condition, because God has not given us a spirit of fear. Therefore, we need to confess our fears to the Lord and repent. We need to turn and look at Him, remembering all of the times He delivered us in the past. Then, we must listen for Him to quietly whisper that He is with us, and there is nothing to fear. I pray we will all do this every day, and experience victory in the strength of the Lord, no matter what enemies come against us.
