On Eagles' Wings

God has a wonderful way of picking us up and carrying us through the most challenging times in our lives. It has been amazing to see that in my own life, and I pray we have all had this experience. The Lord never leaves us or forsakes us. Instead, when the going gets tough, He comes through for us in unexpected ways. That is what happened to the people of Israel, as God led them out of the land of Egypt and took them to Mt. Sinai to meet with Him. (Exodus 19:4) They experienced first hand the intervention of God, as God sent the plagues upon the Egyptians, and then bore them on eagles' wings and brought them to Himself. They did not just hear from God. They saw the Lord and His mighty hand lift them above the conflict and keep them safe, until they were with Him. He does this for all of us who are His children.

God allows us to have troubles, so we can learn to trust Him and have a personal relationship with Him. That is His desire for every one of us. If we refuse, He will not force us, but He does His part to reveal Himself to us, as He did to the Israelites and the Egyptians by sending the plagues. Then, God walks with us each day to lead us and empower us to live a life that honors Him. He still allows us to have troubles to grow us in our faith, but at times, He carries us, so we are not harmed. Truly, He bears us on eagles' wings, so we can truly soar and not get caught up in the mire of this world's trouble. God is so good. He always does whatever it takes to bring us closer to Him in a loving relationship.
