God is Striding Ahead of You

As we walk through life, we need someone with us to help us and encourage us. We are never complete by ourselves. Moses knew this as well as anyone. He knew that we all need the Lord to walk with us through life, as God had been with him in such a powerful way. When he was about to die, Moses encouraged the People of Israel to be strong and not to be intimidated by their enemies. In fact, he told them not to give them a second thought, because God was striding ahead of them. He would be right there with them and never let them down or leave them. (Deuteronomy 31:6) If we are God's children, the same is true for us today.

As Christians, we have to decide to be strong and to take courage. God won't automatically touch us and make us strong. It is up to us to go to Him and to declare our desire to be strong and courageous. We must decide that we will not be intimidated by people, since we know the Lord. We must not doubt or waver in this resolve, not even giving our enemies a second thought, because we know God is striding ahead of us in all of His wisdom and power. We know He is right here with us, and He won't ever let us down or leave us. That is faith, when we know the Lord and trust Him like that. We must exercise that kind of steadfast faith, and then, we will see God fight for us, destroying our enemies. So what will it be, faith or unbelief? The choice is up to you.
