Resounding Praise for God

John was caught up to heaven so that he experienced the worship of God in heaven. He could have been taken up physically, or it could have been a spiritual experience, but which ever it was, John saw clearly what goes on around the throne of God all of the time. He described all of that for us, and then, he ended with the most glorious part. John was able to see every creature in the universe giving blessing, honor, glory and power to the Father and the Son. (Revelation 5:13) I think this is fitting for us to consider on Christmas day, so we will have the right attitude of heart for our celebration of Christ's birth.

John got to see and hear what Paul describes in Philippians 2:9-11. Jesus was so exalted by the Father after His willingness to come to earth, live a sinless life, and die for our sins that He raised Him from the dead and gave Jesus a name above every name. The result of His exaltation is that every knee will bow to Him and confess Him as Lord to the glory of God the Father. The Father and the Son are fully worthy of all of our blessing and all of the honor and glory we can give them. We should do this with all of the power in our being, as we join with every other creature in His creation to do the same thing. God is due this praise forever and ever, so let's do our part to give it to Him now and in eternity.
