Go and Report

After Jesus cast the many demons out of Legion, the Garasene demoniac, he wanted to accompany Jesus and his disciples. Jesus told him no, though. Instead, Jesus commanded him to go to his own people and report to them what the Lord had done for him and how He had mercy on him. (Mark 5:19) That is exactly what the new Legion did, and I am sure he saw much success in bringing people to the Lord, because of his sure testimony of the power of Christ to change his life. I believe that is Jesus' command for all believers, once we are changed and come to know Him in a personal relationship.

Just think of how you were before you came to Christ. We may not have been terrible people, but we were willful sinners, and we could not stop sinning in our own power. Our sins were taking us to hell, and we could see that Jesus was not pleased with us. Many of us were involved in the things of this world to such an extent that we were getting deeper and deeper into compulsions and addictions. Then, Jesus changed it all. His grace saved our souls, forgave our sins, and gave us a new life. The Holy Spirit made us a new creation of the Lord, and we had a strong desire to do the right thing, and we had the power to do it by the Holy Spirit living in us. Our life was totally changed from death to life, from blindness to sight.  We found a peace that we did not think was possible and joy with contentment. All of the people around us, who do not know the Lord Jesus need all of these things that we have. Our story is just what they need to hear. It is great evidence of the reality of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Please, go and report what Jesus has done for you, and see what great things God will do through you.
