God's Promise to Israel

We who are alive today have seen one of the greatest miracles taking place through our lifetime. I am referring to the establishment of the new state of Israel and the regathering of the Jewish people into their land. This was not done simply as decision by people after World War II. It was always in the plan of God, and it is according to His promise in the Bible. God has scattered the Jewish people in the past because of their unfaithfulness, but He has returned them to the land when they turned to Him. The last time this happened was after the death and resurrection of Jesus, when the Romans took over Israel in 70 A.D.. They were dispersed all over the world, but in 1948 they began to come back to the land where God chose to place His name. (Nehemiah 1:8,9) Not all of them are faithful to the Lord, but there is a remnant who are seeking to be faithful, and God has blessed their prayers.

God has regathered the Jewish people, and I believe it is in preparation for the rapture of the church and the second coming of Christ after the time of the Tribulation. For all of that to happen, the Jewish people have to be in the land of Israel, and at some point the people must rebuild the temple. Then, a great struggle will ensue when the Antichrist seeks to destroy them. By that time the Jews will have turned to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and they will be truly faithful to the Lord. The last few days we have seen the Arabs firing many rockets into Israel in an attempt to kill people and create terror. This is because Satan is aware of God's plan, and he is trying to stop it. He will not be successful, because when God makes a promise, He always keeps it completely. Please, join with me in praying for the nation of Israel and for the Jewish people to come to Jesus. Let's all be ready for that time when Jesus will come to receive His church and to set up His kingdom on this earth from Jerusalem.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Nehemiah 2-4.
