Sin's Separation

Do you feel close to the Lord right now? Do you know He hears your prayers? If not, you are experiencing the separation caused by sins in your life. God wants to save you and to hear your prayers. He wants to walk closely with you each day. However, He can't have anything to do with sin. (Isaiah 59:1,2) Therefore, we must repent of our sins and confess them, before we can walk closely with God and have His ear.

God is longing to have fellowship with us. He will be as close to us as we allow Him to be. The choice is ours. We must choose between sin and the Lord. Yes, we are the only ones who can take the initiative when it comes to our sins. First, we must admit that we have sinned. That is what we call confession. We must specifically tell God we know that each sin is an affront to Him. Then, we must be willing to repent, which is to turn away from the sins and do the right things, not the wrong things. When we do that, He draws near to us. If we have never trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we must do that after repenting to be cleansed. If we are a believer, He cleanses us, and we can enjoy close fellowship with Him. Since we tend to fall into sin from time to time after being saved, this process must be a continual process in our life, which is genuine and heart felt. Soon, we will see that we are sinning less and less, and we are enjoying close fellowship with the Lord more and more.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 60-62.
