God Listens to Us and Responds
Job was in a very unfamiliar place in His life. He was searching for the Lord, but He could not be found. God was hiding from him. It was a part of Job's test. We all go through dry spells. God is watching to see if we will stay faithful to Him, even when He is distant. Job was still faithful, and he had great confidence in God. He knew that if he could have an audience with the Lord, He would pay attention to him, and God would answer him in an understandable way. (Job 23:4-6) I pray that all of us have the same faith and confidence in our Lord.
One great thing about God is that we can say whatever we need to say to Him. He can take it. We can pour out our arguments to Him about how our lives are not going right. We can even give our reasons that we think He is to blame for our troubles. Whatever we say, we should know that He will answer when we go to Him sincerely. He will clearly give us the answer, if that is really what we want, and we do not just want our way. We can be assured that we will have God's undivided attention. He will not just blow us away by the greatness of His power. He will listen and respond. Is that your confidence today? If it is, go to Him and share whatever is bothering you. The Lord will be glad to help, if we do it that way.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 25-27.
