God's Steadfast Love in Trials

Joseph had all kinds of troubles after his brothers sold him into slavery. He ended up as Potiphar's slave in Egypt, and Potiphar saw that God was with him, so he put him in charge of all of his household. God blessed Joseph and his master's house during that time. However, after the false allegation by Potiphar's wife, Joseph was put in prison. Even there, God was with him and showed him steadfast love, and gave him favor in the sight of the prison keeper. (Genesis 39:21) It just shows us all the faithfulness of God to His children during the trials of life.

God does not depart from us when we have trials. If he allows a trial in order to make us stronger in our faith and character, He is with us even more. He is showering His steadfast love on us to show us that no matter what happens to us, He loves us, and He is with us. In those times of trouble He can give us favor with those around us, and God can make us prosper, even if we get put into prison. Isn't God good? Therefore, we must not be afraid of trials and troubles. Instead, we should just remain strong while we enjoy the steadfast love of the Lord during our difficult situation. Then, when all is over, we come out stronger and more reliant on the Lord than ever, because we never stopped trusting Him, and He never stopped blessing us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Genesis 40-43.
