The Lord's Blessing for His People

The Lord gave Moses a very specific blessing to have Aaron and his sons, the priests, pronounce upon the Israelites. (Numbers 6:24-26) Since God does not change, I believe He would desire to bless all of His children today in a similar way, if we will walk in faithfulness to Him and His Word.

The Lord will bless us and keep us. We do not have to worry about being separated from the blessing of God or from His family. He is the One who keeps us. It is not by our own works.

The Lord will make His face shine upon us, and He will be gracious to us. Can you see the smile of God when you look to Him in prayer? That is His face shining, as He heaps grace on us. Grace is getting more than we deserve.

The Lord lifts up His face upon us, and He gives us peace. We are able to look into the face of God, even as Stephen did at his death. At moments of great trial and in the good times we have His peace that passes understanding.

That is the greatest blessing anyone can have on this earth.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 7-9.
