God Does Whatever He Pleases
God is both loving and holy. Therefore, He always does the loving thing and the right thing in every situation. He can't do anything else. He won't do anything that He does not want to do, so there is no need trying to talk Him into what you want Him to do.(Psalm 115:3) This is a very significant truth.
All of the people who worship idols do things to get their gods to do what they want. Of course, there are no lesser gods, only Satan and his demons trying to fool people to think there are. The One True God is not swayed by our desires. He does whatever He pleases. That is the great thing about God. We worship Him, we pray, and we seek to know Him through His Word, so we can understand what He does and why it pleases Him. Then, we join Him in what He is doing; we do not try to change His mind. That is futile.
Please, do not try to make deals with God. Don't do things to get points with Him, so He will bless you in a certain way. Trust that God knows the best thing, and He will do it. We need to find out what that is and line our lives up with what He is pleased to do.
