Returning to the Lord
It is easy to drift away from the Lord. Others have been far away from God for a long time. Either way, returning to the Lord is the right thing to do. However, people are unsure of what will happen if they approach God in prayer or start going back to church. They do not realize that God is ready to show mercy to them and to abundantly pardon them, if they will just sincerely return to Him in faith.(Isaiah 55:7) God is not vindictive. He is the Father of the prodigal, who runs to embrace His child when he sees His child returning to Him.
Returning it repenting. It is deciding that your way has led you in the wrong direction. It is deciding that God's way is right, even if you don't fully understand God and His ways. Returning is making a commitment to do His will in His way, so it takes humility and submission to Him as Lord. It is not easy because of our sinful human nature, but it is simple enough. Will you decide it is time to return for God's mercy and pardon today? It would be one of the best decisions you ever made.
