God Rules
God rules over all of the universe. He is on His throne, and no one can stand against His power and authority. His throne is founded upon righteousness and justice, but at the same time we see His mercy and truth.(Psalm 89:14) I believe we need to hear what the psalmist is saying here.
God's decisions are right and just. He does not make mistakes. He never sins or does evil. He does not compromise on what is right. That makes some people think that God is too strict. He is not too strict, because His mercy and truth go before Him. He knows how to act in mercy and do the right thing at the same time. We have trouble with that, but He always does it well.
Let's make sure that we know God is the King of all. Let's surrender to His rule in our own lives by trusting Christ as our own Lord and Savior. Then, let's follow all He says knowing that whatever He has told us to do is right and just, and all the while He will be merciful in dealing with us according to the truth. He is not too strict. He loves you very much.
