Thy Will Be Done

When Jesus was preparing for the Cross in the garden, He told the Father, "Not My will, but Thy will be done." That is how Jesus lived every day, not just when He died for us. Moses lived that way, too.(Numbers  16:28) He did the will of God, not his own will. This should be true for every believer, every day.

I believe each of us has a free will. We can choose to sin, or to do God's will. We can choose to do a good thing, or we can choose to do the best thing. The best thing is always God's will for us. Therefore, our prayer each day should be for God to show us His will, so we can follow Him, instead of doing what we want to do. This is not a burden. It sets us free to experience His best for us, and it allows us to bear much spiritual fruit for Him. Try it. The abundant life awaits.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 19-21.
