No Remedy

I pray that the United States has not come to the point where there is no remedy for our rebellion. That is the situation Judah found itself in, after they rejected God's messengers and God's Word.(II Chronicles 36:16) Once the people crossed that line, God had to pour out His wrath on their country. The temple was burned. The city wall was broken down. The treasures of God's house were carried to Babylon. What a sad day, but it could have been avoided, if they had listened to the Lord's warnings.

Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer. Here in Stockbridge, we will meet at the fountain area across from City Hall to cry out to God for our country. He is always faithful to answer us when we pray in faith according to His Word. However, if we have gone too far already, there may be no remedy for us as a country. I know God will care for His own no matter what happens to our nation, but I pray that we will call upon God to deliver us from the evils of our society, and that we would turn back to Him as a people.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezra 1-3.
