National Day of Prayer

Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer. I hope each of us will make it a priority to spend an extra amount of time in prayer for our country. If there is a prayer gathering near you, I urge you to attend.

God loves for His children to pray in faith. He loves to answer our prayers as we pray according to His will. He told us in His Word that there is a special power when two people agree in prayer. Prayer has played a special part in the life of our country, and we need to make sure and continue this vital practice.

Prayer could be the greatest single factor in gaining God's favor and His protection for our country. We cannot rely on man's power to provide and to protect. We must cry out to God in humility, turning from sin, and seeking His face. Then, He will hear and answer as He always has.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezra 9-10 and Nehemiah 1.
