God Has A Reason For Everything
As I was visiting a church member in the hospital today, I was very encouraged by what she told me. She said that she knew that God always has a reason for everything. She has had a lot of health problems, and God has answered her prayers of faith on many occasions. I love her faith in Him and in His purposes. She knows God is in control, and whether He causes something or allows something, He has a reason for it. We may not understand, but we can be sure that nothing happens that is outside of God's control. We can also know that He is working all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Do you get mad at God when something happens to you that is not according to your plan? If you do, you are fighting against His reason for allowing it to happen to you. That makes it hard for you to see His reason, and to learn from Him. I would urge you to stop pulling against God, and give in to His perfect love and His perfect plan for your life. He is so good that you can always trust His loving heart. However, if you are in sin or in rebellion against Him, it is a different story. He has a reason for your situation, but it may be to turn you back to Him through punishment. In that case the best thing to do is to repent and turn to Him fully as soon as possible.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 47-48 and I John 3.
