Using Technology for Jesus

It seems strange in some ways to talk about using technology for the cause of Christ. After all Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago. We call the gospel the old, old story. Why should we use technology to spread the Word of God? It is very simple really. We live in time in history in which most people are very acquainted with technology, but they are not acquainted with Jesus. They are use to all kinds of electronic equipment like computers and cell phones, but they are not comfortable with the Bible. We must not sink back into our comfort zone, but we must extend ourselves and our message into the age of technology for the sake of the masses who need Jesus. It would be a grievous sin not to use every available technology for Jesus, if it would save even one soul.

That is why Terry Penn and I sat down to discuss a Technology Ministry team at lunch today. We use technology in business to make a profit. We must use technology in the church to make more disciples. I am looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do with our new ministry team and with technology dedicated to Jesus and His Gospel.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 16-17 and Acts 20:1-16.
