Nothing is Too Hard for God
I believe there are a lot of people, even believers, who have the wrong mindset when they pray. Sometimes, people see God as an old man on a throne, far removed from us in heaven. Others think they have to inform God about what is going on in their life. When people have that kind of mindset, they are not going to pray in faith, knowing that God can answer their prayer. Believe me, God wants us to pray, and He wants to answer our prayers.
Jeremiah prayed a pray to God that shows us the correct way to approach God with our requests. (Jeremiah 32:17) "O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and the earth by Your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You!" If we take this verse apart and apply what we learn to our prayers, I believe we will see a huge difference in God's responses to us. I pray it will help you today.
We must acknowledge that God is sovereign. That means He is in control of all things. He can and will do as He pleases. Therefore, when we pray, we are praying for His will to be done. We can ask Him to meet our needs in any area, but we should be happy for Him to meet them in His way. It is always better than our way. After all, He is the Creator of heaven and earth. He made everything, and it all works together well. That shows His sovereignty over us and everything.
So as we pray, we must be convinced that nothing is too hard for God. We should not worry that He doesn't understand what is needed. We must not ever think that He is not powerful enough to fix whatever is needed. Of course, we must not doubt His love for us and others. We should simply and confidently lay our petitions at the feet of our Sovereign Lord, knowing He can and will do the right thing as we put our faith in Him to meet our needs. Let's pray like Jeremiah and see what happens.
