God's Perfect Will
This evening Chris and I went to a small wedding open house for a daughter of some of our friends from Clairmont Baptist church. It is amazing that it has been 21 years since we met them. However, the most remarkable thing is the way the Lord led them to come to Clairmont. They had just moved here from California. They did not know anyone in that area, but they had a good recommendation for the preschool at the church. God made two openings for them, and the rest is history. The two girls who were one and two years old are wonderful Christian young ladies now. It is great to be able to spend time with special friends and to see how God has blessed their family over the years.
Of course, I am very privileged in that way. God has given me so many great friends in various places over the years. I have watched their children grow up and get married. They have grandchildren like we do. It shows the brevity of life. It shows the wonderful blessing of eternity. Our time here will slip away, but our time with the Lord in Heaven will be unending. The greatest thing besides seeing Jesus will be having friends and family who know the Lord there with us. God's plan is so good.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Timothy 3-4 and Titus 1.
